As I sit here writing this section, I am personally in the midst of one of my largest creative blocks to date. My life changed. It is not a bad change at all, in fact it has opened up so many doors for my family. It did, however, leave me questioning my purpose. This change effectively closed a door that I had been hanging my hat on for the past several years, and now I am not sure how I want to proceeded. I am not sure where I stand in my personal creative journey, making this the perfect time to write this section! I will be able to offer an insider’s perspective. Read on for my 5 tips to break through creative block!

On occasion, you need to give yourself permission to pause. Give your self space without the pressure to produce anything. Your brain and body may need time to simply be. Perhaps you are processing a life change or maybe you have been so busy lately that you are feeling overwhelmed or run down. A pause may be just what you need!
There is a fine line between a pause and avoidance though. So how do you take the pressure off of your creative block without avoiding your creativity all together? For me that answer lies in surrounding myself with creative inspiration without asking myself to sit down and create anything.
